KINETIC CONSTRUCTION INDIGENOUS ENGAGEMENT POLICY

Kinetic Environmental (Kinetic) acknowledges that we work within the unceded territories of many Indigenous nations and that these nations are rights holders and stewards of their lands and waters.

Kinetic is committed to building long-term, respectful, and beneficial relationships with Indigenous peoples, communities, and governments in the spirit of reconciliation. We recognize that through these relationships, the work we do together must reflect jointly developed principles, shared goals, and aligned priorities, as well as the unique needs and interests of Indigenous nations.

Kinetic is also committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. We take seriously our responsibility for cultural and cultural awareness. We understand that achieving this requires dedication from the leadership team, as well as appropriate training and resources.

As part of the business community, we believe we can make a difference by focusing our efforts on community building, employment, training, and business and partnership opportunities with Indigenous nations in whose territories we live and work.

Kinetic has established the following policy objectives to guide our business in ensuring we respect and promote reconciliation principles and Calls to Action:

Kinetic strives to:

1. Build respectful relationships with Indigenous peoples based on cultural awareness, mutual respect, and trust in ways that positively affect Indigenous communities
2. Proactively build the capacity of Indigenous nations and communities through long-term employment opportunities, training, procurement, and support for community priorities and/or initiatives
3. Train and mentor Indigenous people within our community to help build capacity within communities to grow and prosper
4. Pursue opportunities with Indigenous businesses and Indigenous-affiliated businesses to enhance and promote the Indigenous business community and
5. Develop partnerships and agreements with Indigenous nations with a shared business interest to express our commitment and long-term relationships

Kinetic will put our policy into action through an Indigenous Engagement Action Plan.
